Simpson follows in the famous footsteps of fellow pop idols Britney Spears in 2006, and Christina Aguilera in 2008 to grace the covers of magazine pregnant during pregnancy. Other celebs who have posed naked and pregnant include models Claudia Schiffer and Cindy Crawford, who also showed off their first baby bumps on covers.
And let’s not forget Demi Moore, who started the trend with her then shocking naked 7-month pregnant pose on Vanity Fair. In 1991.
The Fashion Star mentor has one big fear about her child: if the baby takes after her husband Eric Johnson, she won't be able to take her daughter shopping. “Ah swear, ah will croak if she asks me for a pair of Nikes instead of Christian Louboutins!” explaining that her husband," she said.
The girl may be extra-energetic, given Jess’s pregnancy cravisngs. As she told Extra in January, "I had a buttered Pop Tart this morning,.. I'm eating a lot of stuff that I ate in my childhood. Kraft Mac n' Cheese, Pop Tarts, Cap'n Crunch. Everything's filled with sugar."
Jessica also teased the mag reporter about the name she and Johnson have chosen for their little girl, describing it as "nontraditional."
"We're sure on the name. It’s nothing shocking and nothing you’ll have to add to the dictionary. Still, when people hear it, they’ll know … why," she offered cryptically.
